What can I say... many folks have sent me updates to their email
addresses, and many more have asked for their names to be added to the
contact list. I can never seem to make the time to maintain the
site as I'd like to, so to all the visitors who have sent such
requests, I can only apologize. I'll get to your updates when I
can. I have managed to update the site this evening with some
photographs provided by Peter Tveskov (USSI/Oilwell Camp - Anaco 1960).
At the end of March, 2008 I'll be moving from St. John's, Newfoundland back to the US. I've been here in Canada for just over 7 years now, and am looking forward to a change. From early April I'll actually be able to live in the US with my wife Peggy (of 26 1/2 years!). My new position with ExxonMobil will allow me to work a 4 week on and 4 week off rotation overseas. The first project I'll be working on is in Sakhalin Island, Russia.
Hopefully the 28/28 rotation will provide some more free time for me to work on this website.
Received a very nice photo this evening from Joanne Niver via her daughter Katherine Niver Christie. It's of Joanne's 4th & 5th grade classes at Escuela Anaco in the 1958 - 1959 school year. I think I recognize many of the faces, and can guess at names of two of them. Please have a look (here) and let me know if you recognize any faces or know any names.
Saludos, John
